Nikolay is an aspiring public health inspector conferred with a B.A. in Psychology from York University and B.A.Sc. in public health and safety from Ryerson University. He brings a background rooted in safety auditing, regulatory compliance, and public relations. During his time spent finishing his public health degree, he found a passion for food safety when tasked with the evaluation of CFIA’s training offered to recently onboarded staff. This introduced Nikolay to legislative frameworks, industrial manufacturing processes, and pathogenetic organisms which he aims to develop further through continuing education.
Nikolay is currently aiming to complete his student public health inspector practicum with Durham Region Health Department before completing his Board of Certification exam through CIPHI. Once completed he will hold the title of Certified Public Health Inspector at which point he will be able to share his passion for food safety with the community.
